Level III Launches Kimpton, an AI-Native Operating System for Investors

Dallas, TX - October 28, 2025 - Level III has launched Kimpton AI, an AI-native operating system designed to enhance how investors understand, analyze, and act on information. Originally developed within the firm’s internal technology stack, Kimpton AI pairs institutional-grade analysis with a conversational interface for both individual and professional investors.

Originally founded as Level III Capital, the firm spent the past four years operating as a quantitative fund focused on volatility management and automated trading infrastructure. By consolidating its investment and technology divisions, Level III is aligning the systems built to run its own portfolios with a broader mission to apply AI reasoning across investment management. This foundation makes Kimpton AI a system proven in production, engineered from the realities of managing real capital.

The initial version of Kimpton AI introduces a chat-based investment workspace that allows users to interpret data, understand performance drivers, and explore investment scenarios through natural language. It is designed to turn complex inputs into clear insights, allowing users to interact with investment logic as intuitively as conversation. Rather than providing advice, Kimpton AI helps investors reason through information faster, combining real-time data access with the analytical depth of institutional systems. This launch establishes the foundation for a platform built to evolve.

Kimpton AI came out of necessity,” said Jack Zumwalt, Co-Founder and CEO of Level III. “We built technology that reasons through complex investment workflows in real-time because nothing else on the market prioritized time series data, the foundation of investment management. I needed artificial intelligence that was foundationally rooted in the markets.

Kimpton AI automates the repeatable components of the investment process within one modular web-based system. It allows investors to ask context-aware questions, perform scenario analyses, and reason through market drivers to support faster decision-making.

Kimpton AI was built from the ground up as a true AI-native system, not a wrapper around legacy code,” said said Mauricio Ortiz, Co-Founder and CTO of Level III. “Every component from data ingestion to reasoning, was designed to understand context and scale securely across both individuals and organizations.

The public release of Kimpton marks the first step in a broader rollout that will continue to expand functionality for both individual and institutional investors. Future developments include capabilities in natural language dashboard creation, sub-portfolio abstractions for complex entity structures, and notification engines, extending Kimpton AI’s role as the core operating system for investment management.
